Nerve Agent Training

WVU Medical Command Center is located in Morgantown West Virginia at Ruby Memorial Hospital.   It was established in 1976 when pre-hospital advanced life support was initiated in West Virginia.  In 2002 the West Virginia  Office of Emergency Services adopted statewide ALS Protocols to replace the variable regional protocol system.   We are responsible for EMS online medical command for 13 counties in north central West Virginia, 8 counties of eastern West Virginia and 5 counties of northern West Virginia.  We also provide medical command for southwestern Pennsylvania EMS agencies as needed.  We receive all incoming radio communications for Ruby Memorial Hospital.  We also dispatch and flight follow HealthNet I, the aeromedical helicopter.
