HealthNet
I is the northern base of HealthNet
Aeromedical Services, West Virginia's statewide
Aeromedical Service. HealthNet was established
in 1986 to provide rapid transport to people who were
critically ill or injured. Since then we have
transported over 40,000 patients. We currently
have five helicopters to cover the state and we are
soon opening a new base in Buckhannon to better serve
north central West Virginia. We are
accredited by the Commission
on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems.
We
operate an American
Eurocopter EC135-P1 twin engine helicopter.
Service is provided by Air
Methods Corporation , one of the largest
providers of EMS helicopters in the nation.
